Account & data deletion

You can delete your Vigiland account and the associated personal data at any time. There are two ways to do it.

1. From the app (recommended)

Open the Vigiland app and sign in.
Go to Profile → Settings.
Tap “Delete my account”, then confirm.

Deletion is immediate and permanent: your account is closed and your personal data is erased or anonymized.

2. By email (if you can no longer sign in)

Email data@cedcameroun.org from your account’s email address (or stating your phone number), with the subject “Account deletion”. We process your request within a maximum of 30 days.

What is deleted

Your profile: name/username, email, phone number, profile photo.
Your private messages and account data.
The link between you and your reports (they are anonymized).

What may be retained

Public-interest reports (title, description, category, photo, location) may be kept anonymously on the map, as they serve citizen environmental monitoring.
Data we are legally required to keep, or needed for security, for a limited time.
